When processed foods didn’t exist.
When you could go to the market to find produce without worrying about chemicals.
When single ingredients didn’t have a list of ingredients.
When butter was just butter.

The idea is to prepare and enjoy amazing food while using the cleanest & healthiest ingredients available.
Ideally we’d only be getting what’s in-season or what’s local, but that’s not always possible for everyone.
So we just stick to the cleanest and hopefully, the organic stuff.
Grass-fed beef over grain-fed beef.
Wild-caught fish over farm raised.
Grass-fed butter.
Raw milk. (Not possible for everyone. There are some great alternatives.)
Locally grown or organic produce.
Local Honey.

We’ll also stay far away from items that are known to cause us problems.
Microwaves — we don’t touch.
Plastic or silicone cooking utensils — use wood or stainless steel.


Cooking oils: stay away from seed oils — canola, corn, rice, soybean.
It’s known that these products are harmful to the body.
So we stick to the alternatives; the good stuff — grass-fed butter, extra virgin olive oil, coconut oil, ghee, fats from animals such as duck, pork, beef.
